Pub 2003: Cannot save as image

In Publisher 2003, I have a landscape publication size 11x17 in., actually a
front and back cover for 8.5x11 work. I'd like to save this 11x17 cover as
..tif or .png image. When I save it in any format, all I get is an image of
the central part of the cover, about 11x8.5 landscape.
What's wrong? Is it possible to save the whole 11x17 publication? How to do
it?
I'll appreciate all and any help!

Is your page setup as a booklet 11 x 17? If you are trying to save the front and
back as a picture it won't work. Copy the front and back separately, paste into
a new 11 x 17 publication, select all, save as a picture. You may have some
problems, your result will be a big file.

Mary,
thank you for your suggestions. This is a single 11x17 page, depicting both
front and back covers along with the spine. Of course, I have separate front
and back covers saved as images. But I need this merged page for printing my
cover for binding. As a matter of fact, I produced this merged 11x17 page by
copying and pasting from 8.5x11 publications and adding the spine text. One
detail I did not mention in the original post: I try to save at 300 dpi.
Again, I need it for printing in one piece and am not concerned about size
of the file.
Thanks for your help again!

You might try www.irfanview.com with the plug-ins. It can print a panoramic
view. It could be a solution.

Mary,
I had no problem with Irfan. I saved my file there... But still I wonder,
what's wrong with Publisher? Why it cannot save its own publications in the
format offered by it? Is there any size limit? Any other limitations? I
never heard about it...

I could save an 11 x 17 publication. I used the *save as* rather than the right
click *save as a picture*. My test didn't have much to it, maybe complexity
makes a difference.

In Publisher 2003, I use File>Save As.. and then drop down window to chose
the format, then to change the resolution and after that, without any
warning, I get the image of the fraction of the publication...
Well, I guess, have to live with this...
Thanks again for your input.
