Pub 2003 to UltreRip 4.5r1

I recently upgraded Pub 2002 to Pub 2003 and now I cannot
print to our Imagesetter through UltreRip 4.5r1. I'm
wondering if this is a Postscript 2 vs. 3 issue. Can Pub
2003 print at a PS level lower than 3? I had no problem
with Pub 2002.

Could be. Some output modes require PS3.

You might try distilling then re-printing to a PS2 device.

Publisher does support PS level 1/2/3 printer driver. However to print
Composite CMYK or Color Separation Publisher needs postscript level 2 or
above printer driver.

If Publisher 2033 doesn't see your printer as PS level 2/3 compatible, you
could use "Generic Color PS for Commercial Printing" printer driver to
print the publication to RIP/ImageSetter. You have to choose the
ImageSetter printer port or create a new printer port using ImageSetter IP
address to map the generic printer driver to ImageSetter. (However, the
limitation of generic printer driver is that it supports only up to 1200
dpi resolution).

For more information about how to install this printer driver, click
"Microsoft Publisher Help" on the "Help" menu, type "Install the Generic
Color PS for Commercial printing printer driver" (without the quotation
marks) in the "Search" text box of "Assistance", and then click "Search" to
view the topic.
