Hi All,
We have a Global Address List (GAL) which contains out internal user
address book, and also a Public Address Book (PAB) which contains our
client addresses.
Someone (I shall rename nameless) deleted the PAB (!)
We re-created it but now when a user selects that address book, they
get a message saying that:
' The address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder ...
could not be opened; ... may have been moved or deleted. ... '
Re-creating it with the same name does not work, presumably due to it
being identified by some unique ID.
I thought this might be the ID property of the AddressList object. Is
that correct? If so, can I use that to 'trick' outlook into thinking
that the original address book is back?
If not, I will have to go around *every* *single* *user* and delete
their PAB, recreate it, and then reset their address lookup order -
please save me from that hell (even though I may deserve it!)
Thanks,
Alan.
