Public Documents and Edit Site Tool

Hi guys,

I've created a new Project Server site for our implementation using the
EditSite tool. The problem that I'm currently running into is the
Public Documents is not created on the new site and I can get the
Project Server Manage Sharepoint Settings to save. It keeps asking me
to run WSSWIZ. I've added the .wsdl to the config in the Virtual
Directory.

I am at my wits end with this. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Scot

Did you:
1. Create a new IIS site with a different port
2. Extend the new site with WSS using the SharePoint Central Admin site
3. Run the WSS wizard (found on the installation disk) against the new site
4. Change the setting in the Admin - Manage Windows SharePoint Services
section in PWA

Hi Ed,

Would is put in the Site Name field in Site Editor the following:

http://servername:81/Collaboration

Let it run, skipping the Sharepoint/ProjectServer Integration tab, then
extend the new site in WSS, run the wizard and then change the settings
in Admin to point to the new server?

Let me know if my thinking is correct. I am a little fearful that I
will ruin the installation as I did yesterday so I just want to make
sure I do things in the proper order.

Thanks a lot,

Scot

I prefer to set up SharePoint before I use the EditSite tool. This way I
can populate the Sharepoint information. If you already set up the PS site,
don't worry. After you set up WSS, go to the WSS Admin pages in PWA and
enter the appropriate information.

Thanks a lot Ed. Your input has been greatly helpful.

Much appreciated!
