public folder edit message

hi there, need to edit public folder postings, but the edit message option is greyed out.

have full permissions, and can create folders/postings.

on outlook its possible using "revise contents".

any ideas?

Are you able to move your own messages into the folder and edit them?

i have full permission on the public folder (owner). i can create
posts in the folder. i can move messages into the folder.


i cant edit messages in the public folder (using messages-> edit
message) or in my inbox (i now realise).

further info:
using small business server 2003
entourage/office 2008 - version 12.0.1 (080305)
osx leopard 10.5.2 (not ever been able to edit messages - including
earlier versions.)
currently connecting to exchange server on lan
i can create mails in my inbox and edit contacts/calendar items
when i use office 2007 on xp/vista machine and same user account i can
edit the public folder info

Not being able to edit messages that you receive or have already sent
makes sense with an Exchange account. That's not a supported feature in
Entourage because it would only be editing the locally cached copy of
the message and not the message on the server. Entourage connects to
Exchange differently from Outlook.

This leads me to believe that you're unable to edit messages in Public
Folders for the same reason.
