Public Folder - Favorites - will not update the contact in the pub

I have someone who has the public folder with contacts that we share.
He has, as we all have, the folder under Favorites (Outlook 2007)
He has made corrections in one of the contacts but the rest of us cannot see
the information he has applied to that contact, and when I look directly in
the public folder his corrections are not there, it states last update was 2
months ago.
How is it that he can correkt a contact in a public folder through his
favorites but it does not show in the public folder.

The correction needs to be made in the Public Folder.
