Public folder issue

I recently added Public folder use to our Exchange 2007 environment.
However, some users cannot see the Public folder in Outlook with their
existing Outlook 2007 clisnt profile. When I created a new profile, they can
see the PF.

What is the roo cause of this issue ?

Was the existing profile created in outlook 2003 or older?
