public folder refresh rate

Does anyone know where to setting is to modify the refresh rate of a public
folder calendar?
It currently takes around 30 - 50 secs to update entries which is confusing
users.
We previously used a shared user calendar for this calendar function which
updated immediately.

which exchange server, what version of outlook? if 2003, are you using
cached mode?
