Public folder

I have just added a new member of staff to a public folder and set up all
permissions, however when this member of staff adds a contact to the public
folder it does not appear to be updating the folder, as the rest of us do not
see it. Also if I make a change or amendment to a contact in the public
folder this person does not see the amendment. I have set up new staff
members previoiusly on a public folder and not had this problem, does anyone
have any ideas what is wrong.
