Public Folders randomly disappearing from Favorites in OL2007

This started as a minor issue, turned into a major one quickly.

We have a shared address book in our public folders, and most people
have it in their Favorites. This can be seen when clicking on
Contacts.

However, a few users have found that the address book quite simply
disappears and the Favorites are no longer visible in Contacts.
Making the folder a favorite again doesn't fix it. Asking the boss to
keep going to his folder view, then digging down thru the public
folders several times a day isn't the best option right now.

All users are in cached mode.

Any help is appreciated!

I have the exact same problem - did you ever get it resolved?
Or is this working as intended?

Have same problem here only it is happening to a public folder with mail
items. Members add to favorites only to have it disappear during the course
of the day or at next logon.
