Public Holidays Missing in Outlook 2000

I do some work in a charity which runs Outlook 2000 linked to an Exchange
2000 server. Many users had loaded the Public Holidays in their calendars
and all was well.
Last week it was pointed out that they were missing. There seems to have
been no change to the Outlook clients which would make the holidays
disappear.
Can anyone suggest why this has happened.
