publish form vs Upload Form

hey all,
i was wondering what the difference is between Publishing a Form to a
Sharepoint Form Library vs Clicking the Upload Form link inside a Sharepoint
Form Library?

You are probably referring to publishing a form *template* rather than
publishing a form. A "form template" (.XSN file) contains the design and
layout instructions, while a "form" is an XML document that contains the data
filled out by the user. A form template can only be published from InfoPath
design mode. Uploading the XSN file does not configure the form library or
the form template correctly.

The "Upload Form" button can be used to upload form XML documents that are
created by filling out a form in InfoPath and saving it to a local file.
