publish New and Changed Assignment

Hello Dear:
I am trying to use this option using e-mail only. When I
publish the changes I am not able to open it. It seems
The extension is not registered and the extention is MTM.
When I look at the file type in desk top, there is no such
extension exist. However I created MTM and still I am
not able to open it up
Would you pleaes help me out on this.

Hello Majid,

I assume you are using MS Project 2002 or earlier. To
use email collaboration you need to run WGsetup.exe on
your computer and your resource's computers.

From Help:
"To use an e-mail system to send and receive team
collaboration messages, you and your team members need to
run WGsetup.exe.
----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------
1 Copy the entire WGsetup folder, found on the Microsoft
Project CD-ROM, to a network drive that can be accessed
by everyone with a MAPI-compliant, 32-bit e-mail system.
2 If necessary, you or the team members can connect to
the network drive that contains the WGsetup folder by
using Microsoft Windows Explorer.
3 In the WGsetup folder, double-click WGsetup.exe, and
then follow the instructions when prompted. "

WGSetup.exe should create the file assocations needed.
