"Publish" software option grayed out...

Good Evening,

This afternoon I was trying to Publish Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Reader to a GP (I'm
in the learning curve for GP's), and whenever I clicked on the policy and
wanted to select PUBLISH instead of ASSIGN, it was grayed out.

Any ideas what I'm missing?

Also, what kind of tools do I need to properly share and apply software via
GP's (convert various applications to .msi files?)

If you are trying to publish the app under "computer configuration" then the
option should be greyed because you can only publish apps to users and not
computers. Try publishing the app under the "user configuration" settings
of the policy.

Yup, I was. And duh, I think I learned that in my 2126 class, but I guess I
forgot!
