Publish to FTP error messages

I have a site designed with publisher 2002, and a webhosting account with
Yahoo. Yahoo is telling me to publish the site to an FTP location. I have
added the ftp locations with the correct information (I think) and I'm
recieving a message that says "the folder isn't accessible..etc" or "cannot
connect to the folders on computer named [ host address] ....". Yahoo has
told me to create an author/client (as you would with front page) and publish
to Http://, but I cannot find any info on how to do this (and the ftp screen
wont let me, of course). I'm have never published to the web before, so I'm a
beginner.

Both ftp and http directions are located at http://www.publishermvps.com .
Most of the time you simply enter your site url in either protocol - i.e.
mydomainname.com
Rather then let their support person confuse you with tech speak I suggest
you start out with that.

I have the same problem. Were you able to figure this out? Actually the
site he referred you to is not helpful at all!!!!!
