publish web to local computer

Dan

I want to publish my web down from www. blahblah.com to my laptop so I can
work on it at home. I am using XP Pro and have new installation of FP2002.
Can anyone explain the process of publishing it to my laptop to me? The site
was created and has hitherto been maintained on my work machine using
FP2000. The site itself is on our ISP's server which I believe has FP 2002
extensions enabled. Where exactly do I publish it "to"? Is it just a folder
on my C drive or do I have to set up a local server and if so is this
possible with XP Pro?

TIA

If you are not running IIS and the FP SE locally you can publish to an existing folder (say C:\MyWebName) by opening the online web
in FP and using File Publish and browsing to the folder

Does using IIS give me more functionality locally , e.g. the ability to
check forms etc? If so, I will install it. Can you tell me how I do so?
Also, what is the FP SE you mention? What does it do, do I need it and if
so, where do I get it?
