Published from remote site to local now Navigation Structure Warni

My computer died so I published my web from the remote site to a folder on
the C drive of a different computer. Then I made a couple of text changes on
two pages (nothing related to links) on the local web and tried to publish to
the remote site. I got the following warning: "Front page has detected that
changes you have made to the navigation structure conflict with changes
another author has made to the web you are publishing to. What do you want
to do?

Do not replace the navigation structure on the destination web.
Replace the navigtation structure on the destination web.
Let FrontPage merge the changes."

No one makes changes but myself. Can someone tell me what I should do?

As long as you published from the server to the computer and Navigation View
looks OK, then always select Replace the navigation.

Thanks Ronx, But no matter what page I am currently viewing, when I click on
the Navigation button I get a mostly blank page with three items: a small box
that reads "Navigation" & gives the size of something in percentage, then a
thumbnail size box that lists the name of my home page with a corner folded
over and 3rd text that reads, "This view shows the navigation structure of
your web. To automatically add navigation buttons to these pages, choose
Shared Borders on the format menu.

I should have noted earlier that I'm using FP2000 in case that makes a
difference. I've never selected the Navigation view before and am rather
puzzled by all of this.

You have no navigation created by FrontPage. If you built your own
navigation, link bars or menus then go ahead and publish - it does not
matter which option you choose since the FrontPage navigation is not used.

But if you originally used FrontPage link bars then the navigation is broken
and needs to be rebuilt.
If you are unsure, give a link to the existing web site and we can tell how
the navigation was originally constructed. Or open the web on the server,
switch to Navigation view and see what is there.
