Published or Reporting DB?

Where does the OLAP and Resource Center data come from? Does the OLAP use the
reporting DB and the Resource Center the published DB? Is there anywhere to
pull the "My Timesheet" totals from besides the Resource Center Availabiltiy
views?

Hi Darrell,

the OLAP uses the Reporting DB. I think the resource center uses the Publish
DB, but I am not sure

Yes you can extract the "My timesheet" totals from the Reporting DB and
depending on what you want to see, you should even be able to get this data
from the OLAP cube ( try the timesheet cube)
Hope this helps

You can pull timesheet data from the timesheet cubes that get built in PWA.
Or you can query the reporting database with a reporting tool such as SQL
Reporting Services 2000, 2005 or 2008

Hope this helps,

Marc,

Thx for the input. I noticed that in the Resource Center the list of
Projects includes one named "My Timesheets" which shows admin time and
reduces capacity; however, in the OLAP the list of projects does not include
"My Timesheets". I looked around in the timesheet cubes and those Project
lists do not include the "My Timesheet" as a project either. Now that I know
the Resource Center is definitely pulling from the "My Timesheet" info from
the RDB I can go find it.

Thx again,
Darrell
