Published project has no tasks

Version info: Project 2007 Professional with Project Server 2007

My project is saved to project server. I then published it. Using
project web access, I
can see the project workspace listed on the default page. I click on
the project workspace and then click on the "Tasks" link under the
"Lists" section. I would expect the project tasks to be listed here.
I have the View set to "All Tasks". I have my security settings all
set the Allow. I am in the Administrators group and the Team Members
group. Just in case there is some sort of conflict there, I had one
of the "Team Member" users also check the workspace and he was unable
to view any tasks. He has tasks in the project.

This is a new installation of Project Server and I am new to managing
Project Server and PWA in general. Perhaps something is
misconfigured...

Any ideas?

Thanks

I think you just misunderstand where to look for the scheduled tasks. The
Tasks link you refer to under Lists on the project workspace is in no way
linked to the project schedule. This items under the List are simply
SharePoint list items that you can use for collaboration purposes. For
example, managing Issues, Risks etc.

If you want to see a Gantt Chart type view of the schedule tasks go to
Project Web Access and then click no Project Center. This will take you to
the list of available projects. If you click on a specific project you will
get to see the task details in a Gantt Chart type view.

Individual resources can see and report on their own project task
assignments by going to "My Tasks". This requires, though, that they be
marked as the assignment owner on the assignment within the project before
publishing.

Ugh. Got it. I just assumed Project Server would create sharepoint
tasks for the project. I see the tasks when I go to project center.

Thanks
