publisher 2000 and 2003 should be made compatable

i have tried to use publisher on my pc for the first time and dicoveered that
it is not compatible with publisher 2003 is this another way of microsoft
trying to rip off the general public. I have only just started using
microsoft product and overall have found them to be of a really shoddy
quality. i suppose though if you have the monoppoly on the market you can
continually spew out any old rubish making it all non compatible with other
programs thus forcing people to buy it through need rather than through
desire. thanks very much

as a student i cannot afford to constantly upgrade so ill have to look for
my software elsewhere

You have posted this to an ACCESS newsgroup, not a PUBLISHER newsgroup.

You might try making your suggestion without all the fluff and complaints.
In my experience, it is very rare that you would not be able to use older
Microsoft files with newer versions of the software. You might try posting
this question in a PUBLISHER newsgroup. I would bet that you are
encountering a user error, not a software restriction.

Yep, that's the way you get to be the biggest is turn out stuff that doesn't
work very well and everybody hates.
It is okay if you are a moron student at some liberal mindnumbing
institution, but isn't it embarrasing to advertise it world wide?
