Publisher 2000 Calendar Problems

Hello:
My question/dilema is this:
I used the "wizard" to create a calendar. Then when the calendar was open I
changed, colors, positions of company logo, info, clip art, etc. It came out
very nice (by the way).

Okay, in preparation for 2007, I want to just simple change the start/finish
dates to 2007. When I do this with the good ol' wizard, it changes...BUT it
resets the entire design back to the original calendar template that the
wizard offers (not my design changes.)

So I tried this next:
Opened the calendar, hit File/Save As and saved it as a "template" in
Publisher. Then I opened that template file, showed wizard, tried to change
the start/end year...and BOOM...again it changed the entire "design" BACK to
the wizard's original color/design scheme.

What am I doing wrong and what can I try?

(thank you all very much for your time, and attention)

Try this (it's what I would do): Open the calendar, then save as "2007"
or whatever name you choose. You'll have an identical duplicate
document. Make any changes you want.

That really didn't answer the question. Making a duplicate is not what I'm
trying to do.

I'm trying to keep the same design and "INSIDE" the wizard tools change the
year of the calendar (which changes all the little dates in the day boxes
too). But when I change the year using a wizard, it resets the entire
"Design" of my calendar (fonts, logos, etc.) back to the defaulted wizard
design prior to my changes.

Copy/paste the edited calendar to a new publication. Make a note of the color
scheme, it will change when you paste.
Calendars are nothing more than tables. You can insert 11 pages in the new
publication duplicating everything on page one and adjust the dates. Or delete
the tables on the new publication, copy only the tables in the original calendar
copy/paste.
