Publisher 2000/Frontapge 2000 - error 1706 for limited account

I have completed a clean installation of Win XP (complete
with all updates to date). I have then installed parts
of MS Office 2000 - Photodraw, Publisher and Frontpage -
not included in MS Office 2003 Standard, together with
any related office updates. I then installed MS Office
2003 Standard. Finally, I created user accounts with
limited access for the kids.

All parts of Office 2003, Publisher 2000 and Frontpage
2000 work fine in the administrator account. However, in
the limited user account the system attempts to reinstall
the software whenever I try to start Publisher or
Frontpage i.e. the Office 2000 components. When
attempting to reinstall, error 1706 is produced ( - No
valid source could be found for product Microsoft Office
2000 SR-1 Disc 2. The Windows installer cannot continue)
despite the disc being in the CD drive. Attempting to
reinstall the product as directed is not possible.
Cancelling the error message box and related boxes
appears to allow the software to be used normally.

Can you suggest a solution to the problem of being fine
with the administrator account but problematic with the
limited user account?

Photodraw will not start at all - I understand this
clashes with hot fix KB824141.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried Detect and Repair
(It is a known issue that there are great difficulties running many programs
under Limited User accounts)

Thanks for the response.
I did try Detect and Repair. It gets a certain way down
the path but will not go all the way.
Should I try installing the products in a different order?
Is it anything to do with authorities to view
folders/files?

Thanks

Following on from this:

By uninstalling both types of Office, reinstalling 2003
first and then reinstalling Publisher 2000 it appears to
work. This may be because the limited user accounts
already exist at the time of installation. On first use
of Publisher it still starts the installer but completes
it successfully without the Office 2000 disc.
