publisher 2002 missing useful features available in 97 version

Publisher 97 has a large selection of web buttons in the
design gallery. Most important to me are the back, home and
next buttons for web page use. When you go to hyperlink the
buttons one of the choices is "another page in your
website". And then the choices are first page, previuos
page, next page or specific page. The linked buttons
automatically apply to all the pages in the publication
and any new pages that you add.
I can't seem to get pub 2002 to do this. And the design
gallery has a very limited selection.
Have I missed something or is this feature no longer
available?

I don't have version 97 to make a comparison but version 2002 Design Gallery
does have Web Navigation Bars for a menu wizard and it contains Web Buttons.
Any item be it text or graphic can be used for a hyperlink, simply
right-click the item and select hyperlink, in the hyperlink dialog click the
option in the left pane for Place in this document, you then select the
desired page.
I do believe versions 97, 98, and 2000 were very similar in web
functionality. Big changes were then implemented in version 2002. I
recommend you read http://www.davidbartosik.com/pub2002/pub2002_2.htm
Additionally make sure you have the service packs for 2002. My site has the
details in the 2002 section and the FAQ.

David, I know how to add and link buttons and nav bars
with 2002 but 97 would apply them to all the page
bagrounds at once and advance the script for each page.
The back button on page 2 will direct to index, the back
button on page 3 will direct to page 2 ect.
And any pages that you add the links will automatically
advance.
With 2002 I have to link the buttons on each page
seperately and the only choices are specific html files.
No first page, previuos page, next page or specific page
choices.
Give me 5 minutes and I will make a page for you to see an
example. and send the url.>.
