Publisher 2003, can autoshape fill color come from another object?

I would like to have newly created autoshape fill colors/patterns taken from
colors/patterns of other (non-autoshape) objects in the design.

Do a print screen on the picture, paste into an editing program (Paint will
work) crop the picture down to just the pattern, save as...
In Publisher draw your shape, fill, fill effects, texture, browse to the the
saved pattern.

If you simply want a color match, download this color picker utility, it is
small and free.

P.S. I have no clue why I advised a print screen. All you need to do is take
your original picture into a editing program and select the area you want as a
texture and save as.
