We have received some posters for film output that don't seem to be
respecting the PostScript Custom Page setting. The files are laid out
at an odd size, a little under 9" x 12", and we need to enlarge them
to about 250% of that. We set the scale in Printer Properties, where
we also chose a paper size of 24" x 30", but on printing we get the
error message warning that the page won't fit on the paper, and
although the image appears to be enlarged correctly in the RIP, the
imaged area is the same as the document's page size, with only the
upper-left portion of the poster showing. Moreover on returning to
Properties the paper size is shown as "Letter" (although the rest of
the settings there are correct, and Publisher's Setup dialog shows
the custom size).
We're using Windows XP Pro, printing CMYK separations; the RIP is a
Global Graphics / ECRM / Harlequin "Eclipse" version SP0b, driving an
ECRM Stingray 63 imagesetter.
I would be grateful for any advice on getting the custom size to
'stick', or for any workarounds anyone can suggest.
