Publisher 2003 - Navigation bar problem

R

rinaldo.tempo

I have a simple website designed using Publisher. For most people, the
navigation menu correctly takes the user to the sub-pages. For some
users however, they get a blank page when they click on a navigation
bar button.
Other information...
One of the users that has problems is running IE 6
Another user said that if they cut and paste the hyperlink URL into
the browser they get the sub page.
If it helps, the web site is: www.bathamptonfinearts.org.uk

The problem is that you redirected your domain name to
http://www.regardingpersonnel.co.uk/bfa/index.htm . Publisher writes
relative links in your menu for IE, but absolute links for FF. So your link
to Dublin in IE is: /index_files/Page438.htm and it is looking to
www.bathamptonfinearts.org.uk for the page. In reality the page is at
http://www.regardingpersonnel.co.uk/bfa/index_files/Page438.htm .

Your solution is to rewrite the links using absolute links instead of
letting the navbar wizard automatically write relative links for IE.
