Publisher 2003 - saving features

Publisher 2000 occasionally asked if I wanted to save my document. Pub 2003
does not do that. Under Tools, Options, Save, the only 2 choices are "allow
background saves?" and "save autorecoverinfo every XX minutes". Neither of
these choices prompt the program to ask me to save. Also, there is no help
information on "allow background saves" so I don't even know exactly how that
is supposed to work.
