I've been to the FAQ for Publisher-web-forms, I've done all I can find out to
do. I published using the FTSE, it said they are there and working. I get
this error like so many others "The requested URL
/index_files/--WEBBOT-SELF-- was not found on this server." I am so brand
new my feet are still green. I printed and copied instructions and
everything loaded beautifully, fast and it looks great. The forms are
critical. The form is suppose to be sent to email address. Help please.

either you failed to publish the site in Publisher's http protocol (in which
case do so) - OR - the FP Server Extensions are corrupted (request host
support to reinstall them).

how do you publish in the http protocol. I had followed the directions in
publisher on how to "publish to the web" and I don't recall a choice.

David,
Thank you so much. As I looked further I saw how to upload in http. The
problem may totally lie with the host. As far as I can tell, they only allow
ftp upload which is what I used. Thank you for your patience and kind help.
If you know of hot ftp upload can be used and forms to work, would appreciate
your input.

The FPSE only function with http, I think I say that in the FAQ. The FPSE
are what provide http support so if the host supports FPSE then they are
supposed to support http. Tell the host that you need your account to have
permissions for http uploading, which they may know as "web folders". Since
you did a ftp publish you may have broken FPSE so you might as well tell
them to reinstall them.

David,
I want to thank you and give others some insite. Waiting for support was not
helping much. The solution was so simple. As you stated load
http://yourdomainname.com or whatever. I went to the site and deleted all
files. Checked the FPSE and they were still working. Went to my website on
desktop and in file, chose publish to the web. Put in http://mywebsite.com
then index.htm. It did ask for the admin username and password. In about 60
seconds it was all up and running. All tests, are good. Including the
forms! What I found interesting, those simple instructions on the host
tutitorials and FAQ was not available. Everything points to using FTP as if
you must use that and only that. This one person on a forum kept suggesting
http as you as if it were normal. So I got up the courage and did it.
Thanks again.
Betty
P.S. My feet arn't quite so green now. :)
