Publisher 2007 - design/color of Navigation Bar

How do I change the design and color of the nav bar I have already placed in
my Pub 2007 document. The only thing I seem to be able to do with the design
gallery is place another nav bar, not edit the design or color.

Thanks for your help.

Changing color is straight forward
Select format > Color Schemes
Selecting any of the colors schemes will change the colors of the nav bars

The only way I know to change the design is to make a new one. Easy enough
to do. You already figured out that one.

I have done that, then delete the old one and position the new one. A pain
but effective.

We will watch this thread to see if someone has a method.

Spike,

I'm still fighting with Pub 2007 nav bar designs. I tried to use a
background image for a horizontal nav bar and just use "text only" buttons.
Problem is that I cannot remove the underlining from the link. Publisher's
"help" tells me to select the button and then hit "U" but it is not possible
to select the link. Then, in searching this forum in 2004 there was a post
saying to put in a code snippet
<style>
a{text-decoration:none}
</style>
anywhere on each page you want to remove underlining of the links on. That
doesn't work either. Anyway, if it did I certainly wouldn't want to remove
ALL of the hyperlink underlines, only the Nav Bar underlines.

Any suggestions??? Thanks.

To make hyperlinks of text without the underline, try this:

Create a text box with the words for the links IE Sports Movies Food
etc
Select the HOT SPOT function and outline the text that you want to be linked
to a specific location and insert the hyperlink

In the web preview you will see the text with NO underline but clickable

Ok, i have Microsoft office 2007. And i am trying to figure out how to make the buttons i have made, home, news, staff, games, software, videos, etc.. Clickable, so i can go from one page to another on my website, right now they don't do anything, i can click on them all i want but nothing will happen. You know that little hand that appears when you know the button is active so you can click on it?

That' what I'm trying to do and so far, i haven't found the "View code" Tab to manually put in the website link I'm going to be using to make the buttons active. There pictures i designed my self using Gimp-Shop Yea, i love free programs. Anyway, can some one help me out here? I'm stumped..

Chris,

Assuming that you have used the wizard to create your nav bar or have
inserted your hyperlinks correctly, your buttons will become 'live' when you
publish to the web, you can also check it on a page preview.

If you are just in your pub doc, try holding down the 'Ctrl' button as you
hover over each button...if your links to other pages are correct, you will
see that little hand appear and when you click on the buttons they should
change pages.
