Is there any way to make Publisher note fonts as 100% black. (The
font color window says 0% Cyan, 0% Magenta, 0% Yellow and 100% Black
-- but the fonts are actiually all colors combined to make black--
which is 4 trips through the printer to make black type. That's nuts!)

If it were only a conspiracy that would be one thing. But since it's a
color conversion problem we best lay that on Microsoft because of how
Publisher works. More to the point, how Publisher relies on Windows to
perform certain functions, like color and printing. So when Microsoft
"cleans up their act" and works in a more "professional" manner then
we'll be fine. But until then you have to learn how to deal with it
correctly to work out these "features".
