Publisher different version file compatibility

Doing newsletter for non profit group, multiple contributors in several
states with differing versions of MS Publisher... 2000, 2003. Is there a way
to convert one version to another? We can't open each others files created in
different versions. Will purchasing 2007 allow to open 2000 & 2003 files?

Compatibility summary for Publisher 2000 - 2007:
- Publisher 2000 can open files from Publisher 2000.
- Publisher 2002 can open files from Publisher 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007
- Publisher 2003 can open files from Publisher 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007
- Publisher 2007 can open files from Publisher 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007

- Publisher 2000 can save files readable by Publisher 2000, and later
- Publisher 2002 can save files readable by Publisher 2002, 2003, 2007
and 2000 (separate option, with formatting loss)
- Publisher 2003 can save files readable by Publisher 2002, 2003, 2007
and 2000 (separate option, with formatting loss)
- Publisher 2007 can save files readable by Publisher 2002, 2003, 2007
and 2000 (separate option, with formatting loss)

Note that moving in and out of Publisher 2000 format will introduce
formatting loss, and may cause drastic filesize fluctuations. Some
features not supported by Publisher 2002 will not be visible when
opening Publisher 2003 or 2007 files, but will not be lost.

Thank you very much... it appears the problem is the folks still using 2000
need to upgrade [ including me]. My concern was that 2007 might not open 2003
/ 2000.
take care 7 thanks again

Hi,
I have a lot of files saved with microsoft publisher 2000, we upgraded to
2003, and now I have a lot of files that will not open because "MICROSOFT
CANNOT OPEN THIS FILES. THIS FILE WAS SAAED FROM A PREVIOUS VERSION OF
PUBLISNER. PUBLISHER NO LONGER SUPORT FILES THAT WERE SAVED IN THIS VERSION"
how can I convert this files, the worse part is that I can not find the
Publisher 2000 disc, & threrefore I can not even put the program on my
computer. What can I do? These programs were sent to us by Microsoft as part
of a "Service Provider Member Kit", we are a printing office. Thanks for any
help you can provide.
