Publisher freezing printer up! HELP! I need images!

When I try to print a page in a file after editing it, Publisher freezes up
my printer and the program becomes non responsive. It was working fine then
all of a sudden it is doing this. I am using the trial version, and if this
is the kind of trouble I am going to have I certainly won't be purchasing it!
I have tried everything except removing publisher and downloading again. I
have several scanned items that I need to present for a presentation and
DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!

Try rebooting your machine and dumping temp files.
Check Printers folder to see if any other jobs are "stuck" in the spooler
for that printer.

That happens to my mom every so often. I've taught her how to clear the
queue and if it still doesn't work, reboot. She's getting to the point where
she doesn't call me about those things as often..........and then she calls
me to tell me that she fixed her own computer.

Sometimes I have to switch default printer to a dif. prnter then back
again...dunno why, but seems to work.

My mom's good at emailing me...Rob...Rob you there...there's a
problem...call me!?

Actually, she's done very well at 82 teaching herself how to touch-type and
use the computer (almost)
