Version 10 is Publisher 2002.
Under Help, About... it will state Publisher 2002 right before the version
number.
I strongly recommend you have your Pub 2002 updated to SP3 level.
The SP level is indicated just after the version number.
You can visit our site for a link to obtain SP3.
Pub 2002 places all files other then the index file into a sub-folder by
default, this is documented on the FAQ at
http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=30
I strongly recommend you review the FAQ page to learn all the common issues.

Direct emails to me are not replied to unless I directed the customer to do
so. Communication outside this community inherently reduces it's
effectiveness.

After reading your email about 3 times I think I figured out what your issue
is that does not come across clearly. If I am correct you are asking about
external files in a Publisher web site.

An external file is a file that Publisher does not create when it builds the
web site. It's a file that you want on your site and that you browsed to
when you created the hyperlink. Examples of this are typically a doc file or
a pdf file.

Version 2000 would, by design, grab external files during the publish and
upload them when it generated it's web site files.

Version 2002 ( and 2003 ), by design, do not do that. External files must be
uploaded by you, independently of the Publisher web site. The process being
that you upload the file and note it's URL and then use that URL when you
create the hyperlink.

David, you just gave me the asnwer I have been looking for... But I still
have a problem. I am going to use my "webpage" as an informastionsystem
offline! I am making the "program" on one PC, and am going to use it with
another PC. is is possible to specify when i am making it, that the PDF files
i want to be opened by the links, is situated at C://pdf/filename.pdf, and at
the same time save these files at the same location in the other PC? will
this work? i have played around with it, and it looks like something is
happening to the links when i have coverted it, into html. It is adding
"stuff# to the adress like this C://pdf/file%nam%e.pdf

are you able to help me?
