Publisher .pdf output via Save is corrupted

One Vista system with Office 2007.
Whenever a file is SAVEd using .pdf format, the result is corrupted/unusable
by any other program including Adobe Reader, etc.

We have uninstalled and reinstalled Office more than once with no improvement.
