Publisher Problem

I print a large (26x36) calendar in Publisher. Calendar contains graphics and
text. My old printer is one so I have a plotter. When I change the paper
layout to the new printer, my whole document changes - dates, format,
everything. Why and how can I fix it? Thanks.
