Publisher Safe Mode and Trouble with Blank Docs

Does anyone else receive the popular "MS Has Encountered An Error...."
message when trying to select a Blank Document to work on in MS Publisher
2007, and the message keeps asking you if you want to send the error report
and restart MS Publisher, but eventually - and gratefully - asks if you'd
like to start MS Publisher in "Safe Mode" and after you click "YES," it
allows you to open a Blank Document?

It's incredibly frustrating, especially after spending, over $.... for this
"Office Suite."

Thank you.

When you get the error, in the message box there is a details button. What does
the error detail say? Do you have a default printer enabled?

I do have a default printer enabled. The Error Signature reads:
====================================================
AppName: mspub.exe AppVer: 12.0.6023.5000 AppStamp: 46573f6a
ModName: mspub.exe ModVer: 12.0.6023.5000 ModStamp: 46573f6a
fDebug: 0 Offset: 002d74f4
=====================================================
Thank you so much for inquiring about this! I truly appreciate you taking
the time to help me.

Sincerely and gratefully -

This article could be helpful, I wish Microsoft had similar alerts in the past.

Open Publisher in safe mode (Restart the computer, press F8). Do you get the
error? If not it could be a printer or graphics driver that needs updating.

Thank you so very much for your research...I am not at my computer at the
moment, but will test the waters of what you sent as soon as I get back to it.

Sincerely and gratefully -
