Publisher shuts down with different printer is selected

I am running Publisher 2003 on a Windows XP-Professional machine that is
networked to an office network.

Yesterday, with an open document, Publisher began shutting down (Microsoft
Publisher has experienced an error and needs to close) when a different
printer is selected other than the default printer. All printers are
networked...no local printers on this machine. All printer drivers are
current.

Suggestions?

Hello Jack,

You've landed in a discussion group for users of Word on the Mac,
unfortunately. We don't have Publisher on the Mac.

Although there are several people here who are also highly expert in PC
Office applications, and they may come by soon, I don't believe they use
Publisher. You'll probably get quicker results on the Publisher discussion
forums. Start at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx -- I see there
are 4 Publisher forums.
