Publisher?

I am a Mac user, but really enjoy using Microsoft Publisher on a PC
for Work. Is there anything for Mac that approaches the ease of using
Publisher. I am particularly interested in publishing postcards with
ease. Thanks

You might try Pages. I have found that it works pretty well for page
layout work (at least in somewhat simple cases). There are even
layouts for postcards in the "Page Layout" module.

You might want to give Swift Publisher a try:

Pages is part of the iWork suite. You'll find it at
http://www.apple.com/iwork/pages/

Don't know what the postcard template is like, but I use some of the other
templates and find that not only are they good in their own right, they are
easy to adapt far beyond the original.

Those ads are misleading. There is no Mac version of Publisher (and I
think no Mac programs that will open Publisher files, not sure). The
only way to use Publisher on the Mac would be to install Parallels as a
Windows-emulator-thing, and run Publisher for Windows via Parallels.

Investigate Apple's Pages or Belight's Swift Publisher, as already
mentioned in this thread.

Not the *only* way---there are other Windows-emulator-type programs
besides Parallels. So Parallels or a similar program.

Microsoft Publisher is not available for the Mac.

Once upon a time there may have been a Mac version [IIRC]but that was well
before the advent of OS X (Possibly OS 6?). If anyone is still selling
copies of that - new or used - it will not run on current systems.

No, the Mac platform has never been blighted by Publisher. There was a nifty
application, similarly titled -- Publish It Easy -- not by Microsoft. I
used it for small professional magazines in <checks deep in archive> --
crikey! -- 1993.

Gee, time flies when you're having fun...
