Publisher2007. Will not publish to Web

Can someone help me with this? It has been driving me crazy for 2 weeks.

I have a company website composed in MSPublisher2007.

All is well till I try to publish to the Web which proves impossible. I go
thru though the process exactly as instructed by Microsoft but when I get to
the point where, i have entered the URL, I get a message to say "Cannot find
the URL. Please check the spelling".

Here are details.

URL: www.johnjenner.com
Cpanel User: johnjenn
Cpanel Password: Gantocks5
My Operating System: XP Prof.
Front Page Extensions: Enabled (and confirmed)
File Size: 2.31MB
Site contains Forms so must use HTML not ftp

My procedure:
1. Open saved website on Hard Disk
2. CLICK - Publish to the Web
3. Ignore message about needing a host service which is O.K
4. CLICK - My Network places
5. I then see on screen:
First Panel. Save In: 'My Network Places'
Large Panel. 'Entire Network' and below that 'My Web Sites on MSN'
2nd from bottom panel. File name: 'Index'
Bottom Panel. Save as type: Blanked out
6 In "File name box. I enter http://www.johnjenner.com
7. CLICK 'Save'
8 Screen message says."Trying to connect to http://johnjenner.com...."
9 Screen reverts to: "Cannot find the URL http://johnjenner.com/, please
check your typing"

I have tried leaving out www in the URL, leaving out HTTP and various
combinations. The result is always the same.

The URL, the cpanel username and the cpanel password all work perfectly as
can be tested by logging in.

My Hosting Service is: www.webhostingbuzz.com
I gave asked their advice but none of it has worked. I suspect they do not
have MSPublisher 2007 and do not care to install it for testing purposes.

Perhaps I should learn to compose the site in Front Page but Publisher is so
easy. To give you an idea of my level of computer expertise I bought a book
called 'Front Page for Dummies' but couldn't understand a word!

I should very grateful for any help as the problem is a great and growing
inconvience.

First of all, log into your host and the Cpanel, and change your Password.
You should NEVER post the user name and password. Do this right away!!!

After changing your password, and while you are logged into your web host,
look for a FAQs section or Support that describes how to use FrontPage
server extensions to upload your site. The mechanism for uploading a
Publisher website using FPSE is the same as if you were using FrontPage, so
read the directions for uploading Frontpage. If you talk with support they
will likely not understand that Publisher uses FPSE in the same way as
FrontPage, so just ask for FrontPage instructions.

Also read the article about HTTP uploading and the troubleshooting article
here:

And the Publisher web publication forms 101 article will be helpful:

Prepare, publish, and maintain your Publisher Web site:

David,

I wonder if the guy gives his bank account number and other info to
those who want to send him $15 gazillion for helping get money out of
country!

Usually we don't get enough information, and in this case we got a whole lot
more than we should have. Oh well, if he changes the password he should be
fine.
