publishinfg forms

Hi
The form action is _derived/nortbots.htm. This indicates the form page
was FTPed to the server, FrontPage
Forms must be http published to the server using the File->Publish Web
or File->Publish Site menu options. Using FTP will break the form.

What is the different between FTPed and http.
I am publishing my site through the file menu and then publish. Is this
wrong to make forms work

Use File->Publish Web or File->Publish Site.
Make sure the destination is of the form http://www.example.com
The http:// is very important.

This ensures the web is published using http. The extensions are then
able to change the code on the pages to suit the server, and enable the
forms to work correctly.
If you use FTP, the server extensions cannot touch the pages, and
FrontPage itself will make sure that the forms are set up to NOT work
with the extensions, by setting the action to _derived/nortbots.htm
nortbots stands for No Run Time webBots - in other words "no
extensions".

If you are publishing as above, then try opening the live site in
FrontPage (in FP2003 use the link in Remote Site View), then run
Tools->Recalculate Hyperlinks
If this fails, then the extensions are not correctly installed.
