Publishing a Master plan

I've been looming for advice on whether or not to publish a master plan on
the server. Most comments seem to lean towards NO, but there is little
explanation as to why. Can anyone enlighten me?

On the condition that no resource assignments or cross project dependencies
exist in the master, would you answer still be the same?

Publishing a master project is a definite "no no" because it can create
duplicate assignments on the PWA timesheet for every resource assigned to
tasks in any of the subprojects. Hope this helps.
