publishing a ms access report in word?

I am using Access 97. Have Candidate records (information from each person's
resume) as a record. Each record is printed out on a 3x5 card. This used to
be done in Word as a Merge document - too much trouble. I created this
database to store information in one place, once. Only some of the info for
each candidate is printed on these cards. Do I have to go thru the setup
every time I want to print more records? I do this once per week. I would
like to select a control to take me to the document and I can merge from
there. I created this control on my "Reports switchboard" that had a
hyperlink to the document in Word. I took me to the document ok, but the
"Merge" toolbar was greyed out and I could not do what I hoped. Would
appreciate any suggestions.
