Publishing A Web Site...

F

fred

I am publishing a web site to my ISP and am told that FTP corrupts the Front
Page Server Extensions...and it does. However FTP is the only method that
the ISP accepts...

Once the published and the FP Extensions are sorted out I then loose the
theme for the site...

So this seems to be a Catch-22 unless of course there is a trick I am
missing??

If your provider doesn't support FP, you'll have to switch providers or
software one or the other.

I had the same problem. My provider insistes that FP is supported, but when
I try to upload, I'm getting error messages stating the extensions are not
present. This results in same issue with forms. I'm looking for a new
service provider.

Your provider has to support the version of FP you are using, and also
has to turn it on for you. Inexpensive providers are a dime a dozen, so
just go someplace else if they can't get it right in 24 hours during the
week.
