Publishing code in Outlook 2003

Maurice

Greetings:

Tried to launch a macro from:
http://www.outlookcode.com/d/forms/survey.htm

Regrettably, launching the macro in turn launches an email for composing.
The instructions do refer to Outlook 97 and 2000. The survey has not been
seen. Is there some barrier to launch with 2003? I do not know programming
but the intructions were relatively simple. Please advise.

Open the oft file with Tools lForms I Choose Form, then publish it. The published form should be fully functional.

Greetings Again:

I have been able to launch the macro from the desktop file. Regrettably,
when trying to save to the organizational forms library, I get a general
error message and could not publish. Need my hand held just a little longer.
Tried to create some survey questions to email to myself... The email
arrived with the sub heading only... none of the questions. So appreciative
of your help so far. Below is the chronology:

• Can launch survey page from an ‘Osurvey’ file on desktop
• Tools | Forms | Publish | Publish As > Organizational Forms Library
• ‘An error occurred while going to this folder’
• I can proceed with the personal forms library
• Message: If you intend to send this form to others, Outlook recommends
that the save form definition with item check box on the properties tab be
selected. This will ensure that users who receive it will see your
customized version of the form and not a standard outlook form
• Do you want the check for the checkbox selected?

Ask your Exchange administrators if they have set up the Organizational Forms library and if you can be granted permission to add new items to it.

The form definitely will not work unless it's published, either to Org Forms or to each user's Personal Forms library.

I have been able to launch a survey from my [published] personal forms
library. A recipient was named, a Survey title was entered, Type: Y/N
Question: Do you use the internet? After clicking 'Add' the item appeared in
the lower window with the question type. A second question was entered:
[Agree Scale] How important is home computing to you?

Regrettably, when I receive the survey The Survey Title is there but the
left margin shows "Question 1 of 1" The answer shows nothing. I am most
likely doing something wrong but cannot find enough documentation to
continue. Hoping the end is in sight.

Make sure the "send form definition with item" box on the (Properties) page in design mode is not checked.
