Publishing Error after Reinstall of WinXP

Kevin

I'm new to this group. I've been successfully publishing
about four different websites using first FP2000 then
FP2002. Recently, Windows XP (Home) got corrupted, and
my only option to bring the PC back up was to restore
Windows. This wiped out a few previously installed
software packages, but left most in tact. One it wiped
out was FrontPage 2002, and another was Office XP. All
user files were still available.

I reinstalled FP2002. Since then, I've been able to
republish one of my websites, which I had revamped a
month or two earlier. But two other websites both have
the same problem.

When I go to publish them, I get the message, "Server
Error: Cannot open file "service.cnf". I now
consistently get this same message on both websites. At
first I was getting a similar message naming differing
files, which were some of my webpages, with a ".tmp"
suffix, such as faqs.htm.tmp. It would rotate from one
of my pages to another on different attempts.

I'm starting to get behind in updating these two
websites, does anyone have any ideas on how to correct
this problem? I looked through other listings and didn't
see any that were the same circumstance.

Thanks
