Publishing FrontPage to Windows2003 with Direcway

Hi,
I can publish using my Direcway6000 standard system to my Windows 2000
server but when I try to with Windows2003 it says it can't find the web
extensions.

Before I got Direcway I could publish just fine to the same W2003 box using
dialup is not using the highspeed dialup compression. Does anyone know what
might be causing W2003 to not communicate well with DW6000?

Thank You,
Tim

Howdy.

I'm not at all clear about your setup, but I guess it
includes:

o A Windows 2000 server
o A Windows 2003 server
o A workstation
o The Direcway6000, which I gather is a NAT (Network
Address Translation) box that works with satellite
links.

Even less clear is the location of the three computers.
However, if you're trying to publish to a server on the
downstream network from a box on the unstream network:

o The satellite service may be blocking this sort
of traffic.
o You may need to configure the Direcway6000 box so
that when a remote box accesses port 80 on the
uplink address, the Direcway6000 sends the packets
to port 80 (or whatever) on the private network
address you want.

DW6000 has been causing problems for FrontPage users for over 9 months now,
you are the first to say they can publish at all! In February a DW user
said that DW6000Pro is needed for anything other than web browsing and
email.

What authorisation system is being used on the servers? NTLM authorisation
(on Win2003 server?) may be being blocked by Directway, whereas Basic
authorisation (on your Win2000 server?) may (now) be getting through.
