publishing in http

I'm using publisher 07 and i have followed the 'how to publish http
instructions' over and over...and can't seem to get it working!

When I get to the part where you type in the file name – it won’t accept my
web address. I’ve tried using http://www.actweddings.com.au and
www.actweddings.com.au and neither work! If I type in
ftp://actweddings.com.au/ that works!!! But is that what I’m supposed to type
in (or does that not publish the site in http?). I’ve asked my hosting
company for the http protocol url and they say its just the domain name.

(if you look for the form on my site…it is hidden! Scroll right down to the
left bottom of page and there is a tiny link to the mock form).

To publish via http:// method your web server online has to have FrontPage
Server Extensions (FPSE) installed and working. Your web does not have them
installed, therefore you cannot publish via http. If you do get them
installed and working....do not use FTP afterwards because it will break the
FPSE.

My hosting package inlcuded FPSE. How can you tell its not installed? Do I
have to ask my host to reinstall FPSE? Or is that something I can do?

This url should return a page with FPSE info on it and it doesn't
http://www.actweddings.com.au/_vti_inf.html
If your host gave you access to an online web control panel you may be able
to install/remove/repair the extensions yourself...otherwise you have to ask
to have it done.

You're on Linux/Apache host, so your control panel may be called CPanel, and
you'd access it through your browser online.
