Publishing info path forms for email recipients

I have created a form and published it following the outline criteria,
however, the recipients are not able to use the form as it appears in read
only format. Two additional attachments are created directing recipients to
get info path. Is this standard procedure? Can forms not be made functional
without everyone having infopath?
Also, if the form is published and listed in Groove, would it be operational
without the recipient getting Office?

Hi,

If you are using infopth2007 and sharepoint2007, then infopath is not
required in all users machine. We can aceess the infopath from broser. From
email also you can edit without having infopath in your machine.

Hi,
Take an email data connection. In that mention the person to whom you want
to send the email. In the process of taking data connection it will ask to
send the form as attachment or you want to send the active view only. Choose
send the form as attachment and also give the attachment name. The form will
be there in the email body so that the recipient can edit the form and send
it.

Also, InfoPath 2007 is integrated with Outlook 2007. If a user is using
Outlook 2007 as their email client, they will be able to fill out your form
without having InfoPath installed. Outlook 2003 and other browser will
receive the form as an attachment. Technically the form is an attachment with
Outlook 2007 but Outlook 2007 knows how to handle the attachment.

Actually they do need to have InfoPath 2007 installed to get the integration
with Outlook 2007.
