Publishing is Incomplete

When I try to publish, and the "green loading image" is complete, the publish
process hangs up and I soon get the following error message:

"The server could not complete your request. Contact your I.S.P. or web
server administrator to make sure that the server has FP extensions or
Sharpoint Services installed.

For more specific information click on the Details below."

After clicking on the Details button, I get the following message: "500
Internal Server Error: Internal Server Error. The server encountered an
internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to comple your request.
Please contact the server administrator, (e-mail address removed) and inform
them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that
might have caused the error. More information about this error may be found
in the server error log."

After this, I get a window in FP that gives me an option to stop publishing.
When I do, I get the following error message: "FP has alread started
processing files put the local and remote web site. If you stop now, only
some of your files will have been moved, leaving the two sites out of sync.
Are you sure you want to stop publishing?"

Can anyone tell me how to get my site to publish completely and end the
error messages?

A 500 error "normally" indicates a permissions issue on the server.
You will need to contact your host.

make sure you don't have invalid file extensions in your folders.
If your folders have images and you opened them in Explorer it puts a
thumbs.db in the folder that will not publish as it's not a web format.
