Publishing new project through https:

D

Dan D.

When attempting to publish a project from Project 2003
Pro to a project server at https: from the outside, I
receive an error "the server returned an error while
processing your request. The error could be caused by
one of the following:" followed by 4 possible causes. I
can connect successfully to Project web access at the
specified URL. I can also publish successfully
internally using https://servername/projectserver. Any
ideas? Thanks.

Hi Dan

If you're using a servercertificate from an unauthorised vendor, you need to
install both certificate files (.cer and .p7b) on the client machine too.
Otherwise the server returns an error that Project can't handle.

I've got the same error, and it's driving me nuts!

I have installled my (self-generated in IIS) certificate to the enterprise
root on my client machine, via IE, but still get the message.

When you say .cer and .p7b files is this sometihing different to what IE
does for you?
